Had a great weekend!! The weather was so beautiful, Issame and I took advantage of it and went out on both days.

Friday night, we met up with Adil & Courtney for dinner at Yasmine in Bay Ridge. Great Moroccan food. Issame and I both got cous cous royale and I had 3 glasses of Moroccan wine. Adil looked good, back from Iraq. He unfortunately heads back there this weekend. The experience has been good for him but I know it's trying on Courtney. I'm so glad they got this time together.

Saturday was gorgeous.
All the little kids playing in the park nearby made me laugh. Issame and I headed back to Bay Ridge arm-in-arm to do some shopping. We bought tons of stuff-some for Morocco, some stuff for me for work. Then Issame wanted to take me to this Italian restaurant but there was a line to get in. So we went to this Mediterranean dive and had some great food. We got some french pastries on the way back to the bus stop. Issame stayed in Bay Ridge to listen to some music and play cards with the guys.

Sunday was pretty low key. Another beautiful day, so we opened up all the windows and headed out to buy some fruit and vegetables. We took the long way back home along the Marina. Watched the kids feed the ducks and swans and the fishermen sell fish. It was so nice to get out for awhile

I bought some purple and blue irises that just made the house look so fresh and clean. I didn;t want to come into work this morning, I just wanted to stay home and look at them. Ah, Spring is here.

Issame cooked while I did some pre-Oscar cleaning. Then we ate his delicious meal of lamb and prunes, followed by fruit, french pastries and tea. We had a good laugh at some of the Oscar stuff. No big surprises so issame added his own commentary to everyones outfits and speeches.

Issame cracked me up when he told me that he thought Annie Lenox looked like Smigel from Lord of the Rings.

All-in-all, one of the best weekends in a long time.
