A Pagan Weekend

Mermaids, Cleopatra and way too much iced coffee.

That was how I spent my weekend. Went to the Mermaid Parade in Coney Island. Saw lots of taa-taas.

Then Issame took us out for our 5 year anniversary to an Arabic club called Cleopatra's.

On Sunday, I met up with my friend Courtney who is moving to Morocco. We drank way too much coffee and vented and comforted each other over our Moroccan mishaps, oops I mean significant others.

This is what I still have left to do before I leave on Thursday:

oh yeah and buy a suitcase...I'm doing okay!

One More Week

One week from today I'll be standing in line at the airport with my oversized body bag of a suitcase. Wow!

A Moment of Quiet

Mattie Stepanak passed away yesterday. If you don;t know who he is, check him out. I believe he was one of those rare individuals personally hand carved by God and sent to this world to touch and teach us. We've lost one of the good ones.

Nice of Clinton to have his book come out now. There is a huge mob scene up the block from me. Clinton is on hand at Border's signing books. Insert eye roll here please.

15 Minutes of Fame...Thank You Andy Warhol!

So I'm going to be semi-famous soon. One of my pr profesors from NYU is writing a book and not only does he use my organization as a positive example, he quotes me in his book. Pretty cool, eh?

Playing Catch Up....

Sorry I've been away. Work sent me back to D.C. on Wednesday to work my p.r. (public relations) magic at a Physical Fitness Fair. Had a great time and reached out to a lot of people who didn't know about us. I did get badly sunburned and slight dehydration and then when it came time to go home our flight was severly delayed to the point of cancellation!

I just wanted to go home and we thought we were going to have spend the night in the airport or nearby motel until a flight opened up with 12 seats available. My co-worker and I hauled ass across the terminal and made it on board. I had to wait over an hour for a cab ride home. I didn't get into the house until after 11 p.m., I had been up since 3:30 a.m. I naturally called out sick yesterday--needed to recuperate.

12 more days until Morocco.....WOW!

Today...I'm a Size 6!

Today I'm wearing a skirt that says its a size 6. Now I am not a size 6 physically or personality so the fact that I found a denim skirt that says its a size 6, looks good on me and only cost $7 is a miracle.

It's a miracle skirt!

Got my new glasses yesterday. I look like a superstar! Heck, when you've been wearing glasses since the 3rd grade getting a new pair of glasses is well, nothing new.

It's Official...

I'M A GRAD STUDENT! Well, not until I register in August but at least I've gotten this far. I'd like to thank the Academy....Hahaha!

16 more days until I leave for Morocco...can't believe its about 2 weeks away. I don't think it's sunk in yet.

Clean Up...Everbody Clean Up!

It's clean up day in the office...I need a shower. I also have a nasty little migraine I'd like to chop my head off at this point.

Saw Shrek 2 last night, it was eh! I'm probably one of the few people in the world who didn;t really like it.

Come on and fiesta!

I'd forgotten how much I missed Moroccan food until Issame cooked his famous chicken last night. I almost dove nose first into the plate...but I resisted.

SHOUT OUT
Hey Sally, How is everything? Thanks for checking in. I hope everything goes well with the move! I look forward to reading more.

Had an amazing sushi lunch...so full right now, someone may need to roll me home.

Here's the family! Posted by Hello

Back in the N.Y.C.

So many of my co-workers exclaimed as I walked in this morning. Telling me how tanned and relaxed I looked.

Feels weird to be back. I miss my mom and dad. They are great! I love hanging out with them!
